Real quick
I just wanted to say something real quick, and then I will probably talk about another song later. Ok, so, Paul Anka was a guest on this early morning news show I like to watch when I get a moment. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He is a really awesome singer/songwriter who became popular in the 50s and 60s. His interview really got me thinking. True songwriters are artists to me. People who can tell a story by playing instruments and singing can paint a picture in my mind. The song is their medium. So many of the bands and musicians I enjoy write and perform all of their own songs, and I really admire that. I don't think it's cool because someone told me it's cool. It just makes me "feel" something, and the song rings true down to my soul. Check out the inside cover of an album sometime of the artist you're listening to. See who wrote the song. You might find some interesting stuff.
