I should probably be doing something else right now.

Speaking of that, I need to draw. I feel like there are about 5 or 6 things I need to do right now, but I can't concentrate on any of them. All I can do is sit here and listen to music and write in this blog. (and browse Facebook of course) Oh, that evil FaceBook....I can't quit looking at the stupid thing. Scrolling...scrolling...scrolling...until I realize I've seen all of this crap already, and then I hit the "home" button hoping that something new will pop up. I realized that there are a few things out of all the many things I want to talk about that I cannot talk about on here. That is, at least, until a significant life event is done and over with. Hmmm....think of major life events....Marriage...Divorce...Death.... Let's just say I'll be alive, and I'm not getting married. And, then I can speak more freely. but until then, a lot hinges on that event. Good thing it's only Monday. I think I will try to draw for a while. Anyhow, I just wanted to put some words on here because I realized that I can't talk about as many music videos as I would like to unless I spend a LOT of time on here. But, I do want to keep blogging and writing. So, I figured I would just put whatever to keep this thing going. A couple of things in the meantime. 1. I was thinking of a few different songs or bands I could talk about. Rage Against the Machine always comes to mind. One of my favorites from my youth. (good old "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" or something) And, I often want to talk about Led Zeppelin because they are one of my favorites of all time. And, then there is a really weird video that I like a lot that one of my best friends showed me called "Anything Could happen" by Ellie Goulding. I think that one would be fun to talk about because I would probably be talking about the interesting video more than the musical content as opposed to the other way around. Anyhow, until then, check out what I'm listening to. KYLESA - Live 2011 I'm really starting to dig these guys. To me it sounds like some weird fusion of psychedelic, sludge, stoner metal. Anyhow, as you know, I like a lot of sludge metal. I got to noticing a lot of the bands I like are from Georgia. "Baroness" - Savannah, GA ... "Mastodon" - Atlanta, GA ... and now "Kylesa" - Savannah, GA. Which makes me wonder...does all the good stoner/sludge metal come from Georgia?

  1. Okay so I haven't been on much cause Trev and I just moved. Agh! Then my daughter got the flu and decided to share it with me. (Trevor is lucky his lycanthropy keeps him from getting human viruse. lol) Plus I spend all my free time on that evil addictive Facebook. Just wanted to let you know I'm still here. Although I don't know anything about sludge metal. I am willing to be enlightened.

  2. Oh! It's so good to see a comment on here. It makes me want to blog more. I think I will blog some today because I don't have much else to do. (at this place where I am stuck for 12 hours) Well, about sludge metal, I'm definitely no aficionado. Maybe I should brush up on my metal some more. That reminds me. there was a link to some sort of map of metal I saw once. It was really interesting. There are so many sub-genres of metal it can make your head spin.
